Bio Note

Nuno Venturinha is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the Nova University of Lisbon, where he has been teaching since 2006, and a member of its Institute of Philosophy (IFILNOVA). He taught as a visiting lecturer at the University of Lisbon in 2010-11 and as a visiting professor at the University of São Paulo in 2013 and the University of Valencia in 2015. He has also been a visiting researcher on various occasions at the Universities of Bergen, Innsbruck, Oxford, Cambridge and Helsinki. His current research concentrates on issues belonging to epistemology and philosophy of language, especially in Wittgenstein. He is the Principal Investigator of the NOVA FCSH-funded project Knowing How to Act: Current Challenges in Moral Epistemology (2016-). He is also the Coordinator of the EPLab - Ethics and Political Philosophy Lab (2017-). His publications include articles in journals such as Journal of Philosophical Research, Nordic Wittgenstein Review and Wittgenstein-Studien, and the edited volumes Wittgenstein After His Nachlass (Palgrave Macmillan 2010) and The Textual Genesis of Wittgenstein’s Philosophical Investigations (Routledge 2013 hbk, 2016 pbk).
