Bio Note

Chrysi Rapanta (Phd Universitá della Svizzera italiana, Lugano, Switzerland) is a post-doctoral researcher at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa since 2015. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor of Communication at Zayed University, Dubai (2012-2015) and a research assistant at the New Media in Education Laboratory of the University of Lugano, Switzerland (2008-2011). Thanks to her linguistic capacities (she fluently speaks six languages), she has been working and studying in different places around the world including the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain and Greece. She has also been a research visitor in France (Paris Telecom), Canada (University of Windsor), Spain (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and Universidad de Barcelona) and UK (The Open University). She is currently working on argumentation and education, and more specifically on the implemention of new methods in educational contexts.
